Day 1. Fergana - Kokand. 02.05.2025
Meeting at the international airport.

You will be met by a representative of Caucasia Travel with a sign. From this moment on, you are our honored guest under the sensitive care of our team!
Transfer to Kokand (1 hour 30 minutes on the road) to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel after 14:00.

Day 2. Kokand - Rishtan - Kokand. 03.05.2025
Breakfast at the hotel.

At 09:00 Meet the guide in the hotel lobby. Excursion around Koanda.
Kokand can be called one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia. The city was the religious center of the region - there were about 40 madrassas and more than 300 mosques. We will be able to see some of them:


Khudoyar Khan Palace is a magnificent residence of the last rulers of the Kokand Khanate. You will discover the features of Central Asian architecture, admire the carved and painted patterns.
Jami Mosque is a cathedral mosque on Chorsu Square. I will share its rich history and decipher the features of its architecture.
Narbuta-biy Madrasah is the largest madrasah in Kokand. You will learn how the educational process was organized in the madrasah and how it differs from regular school education.

After lunch, we will go to the World Ceramics Center in Rishtan (40 minutes on the road).
The city of Rishtan is the only ceramic center in Central Asia where ancient production traditions have been preserved. You will see the buildings of 20 workshops, each with two floors. And you will see that none of them repeats the design of the other.
After the excursion, we return to Kokand.

Day 3. Kokand-Tashkent. 04.05.2025

Transfer to Tashkent (4 hours on the road). On the way, we will pass the continuation of the Tien Shan Mountains and the Kamchik Pass, where the road runs at an altitude of 2268 meters above sea level, as well as a mountain lake, gardens and fields.
Upon arrival, we immediately go to the Besh Qozon Plov Center. An amazing place where you can not only taste national pilaf, but also see huge cauldrons in which up to 10 tons of pilaf are cooked per day, lunch included.


After lunch, we begin our daytime walk through the "Old City":
We will begin our acquaintance with the city from Khast Imam Square - the spiritual center of Tashkent, where the original of the unique manuscript of the Koran of Usman and the hair of the Prophet Muhammad are kept. We will be able to see with our own eyes the Barak Khan Madrasah, the Kafal ash-Shashi Mausoleum.


Then we will visit the new part of Tashkent - Independence Square or Mustaqillik Maydoni. The central square of the capital of Uzbekistan, like Red Square in Moscow. We will pass through the Ezgullik Arch, see the Independence Monument, the Monument to the Grieving Mother and walk along the Alley of Memory.
We will admire the extraordinary Palace of Konstantin Romanov, the appearance and style of which is unusual for eastern architecture, attractive in its grandeur, grace, solitude, mystery and inaccessibility. A kind of ancient "noble nest". (review from the outside)
We will see the Theater Square named after Alisher Navoi (Bolshoi Theater), Amir Timur Square and Tashkent "Broadway", Tashkent metro.

Day 5. Samarkand. 06.05.2025.

At 09:00 Meet the guide in the hotel lobby, start the tour of Samarkand.

Acquaintance with Samarkand begins at Registan Square - ("sand square"), called the pearl of Central Asia, is one of the most beautiful squares in the world and a symbol of the city. The center of Samarkand since the time of Tamerlane, inside the square are the Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillakori madrassas.
Next to Registan Square there is an amazing place that looks like a grandmother's treasure chest - Lena Ladik's art gallery "happy bird". Hospitable hosts will share interesting stories. Antique carpets, chests, scarves, fabrics, skullcaps, jewelry, paintings and of course clothes. Trying on chapans and hand-embroidered dresses, we will get into character and feel like shahzods of Bukhara, Khiva, Kokand and other cities of the Silk Road.
We continue our walk through the interesting places of delightful Samarkand and go to see one of the main attractions of the city - the Gur-Emir mausoleum, it is known as the tomb of Tamerlane.

After lunch, you will learn the legend about Tamerlane's wife, the beautiful Bibi-khanym, who, upon her husband's return, built him a mosque as a gift, the likes of which the world had never seen - built in 1399-1400.
We will not leave aside and will definitely visit the Siyab Bazaar - the most famous and most important bazaar in Samarkand. There you can see the local color, buy souvenirs and bargain with local sellers.
In the evening, if desired, you can return to Registan to admire the colors of the East in the light of the lights.

Day 6. Samarkand-Konigil-Bukhara. 05/07/2025

After breakfast, check out of the rooms and meet in the hotel lobby at 09:00.
After breakfast, we will go to Konigil, visit a paper workshop in a village near Samarkand.
The highlight of the village is a workshop for the manual production of traditional silk Samarkand paper using a revived ancient (early medieval) technology.
Here you can see and participate in the entire technological process from cleaning the mulberry bark, soaking and crushing it to obtaining finished sheets of paper, as well as making original products and souvenirs from them.

Konigil is located on the outskirts of Samarkand, not far from the Ulugbek observatory, so after visiting the paper workshop we will go to the largest observatory in Central Asia, built in 1420 by Ulugbek (grandson of Tamerlane).
We will visit the Hudjum carpet factory.
After the excursion, transfer to Bukhara (3 hours 30 minutes on the road).

Day 7. Bukhara. 05/08/2025

After breakfast, we will go to get acquainted with the Miracle of the Spirit - Bukhara.

The historical center of Bukhara is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
We will see:

We will start our acquaintance with the most famous and visited square of Bukhara - the Lyabi-Khauz ensemble.
In the center of the ensemble there is an artificial pond, around which are located the Kukeldash madrasah, the Nadir Divanbegi madrasah, the khanaka, the famous monument to Khoja Nasreddin and many cozy cafes.

We will walk along the old streets and go to the puppet workshop. There we will see a mini-performance, the dolls "come to life" in the hands of the masters and become part of history.

We will continue the excursion and see: Chashmai Ayub Mausoleum, Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Samanid Mausoleum, Kosh Madrasa (Abdullakhon and Modarihon), Bolo Khavuz, Poi Kalon, Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek Madrasah, Abdulakhzizkhon Madrasah, Chor-Minor Madrasah, Magoki Attori.
Bukhara is known to the world not only for its mosques, the Ark fortress and the majestic Kalyan minaret, but also for its trading domes, which stretch in a row from Lyabi-Khauz to the Miri-Arab Madrasah.
You will learn all about the four domes: Toki-Sarrophon, Telpak Furushon, Tim Abdullakhan, Toki-Zargaron, Lyabi Khavuz.

Day 8. Bukhara-Khiva. 05/09/2025

Transfer to Khiva (8 hours on the road) through the famous Kyzylkum desert along the Amu Darya River. We will travel the same road along which countless caravans of the Silk Road once slowly dragged. “Kyzylkum” in translation from Turkic means “Red Sands”, the local sand really has a reddish tint. We will make several stops and walk along the picturesque dunes, admire the endless panorama from the observation deck on one of the two largest rivers in the region - the Amu Darya.
Arrival in Khiva.

A walk through the historical district – Ichan-Kala (XVIII century) – the inner part of Old Khiva, a state museum-reserve, surrounded by a powerful fortress wall. The highlight of the village is a workshop for the manual production of traditional silk Samarkand paper using a revived ancient (early medieval) technology.

Day 9. Khiva. 10.05.2025

After breakfast, meet in the hotel lobby at 10:00.
We begin our exploration of the ancient streets of Khiva:
Kunya-Ark Palace, which has changed over the centuries, but has retained the appearance of a fortress. The interior is striking in its rich majolica decor, carved columns and colorful ceilings.
Nurullabay Palace, in which Asian decor is woven into European architecture. You will see perfectly preserved parquet floors made by Mennonites.
Tash-Khauli Palace, consisting of a labyrinth of more than 120 rooms. You will appreciate the khan's harem, where the wives and numerous concubines of the ruler lived. You will see a secret corridor through which women were brought to the khan.
The mausoleum was built in honor of Pahlvan Mahmud, a poet with heroic strength. The interior walls of the mausoleum are covered with majolica tiles, creating an openwork weave.
The wooden Juma Mosque of the 10th century, which was preserved even during the Mongol invasion. In this mosque you will see columns decorated with Zoroastrian symbols.
You will also learn about the rich cuisine of Khiva, for lunch we will try Shivit oshi - this was the favorite dish of the Khiva khan. This is Khorezm lagman, or green noodles. A kind of summer analogue of pilaf, not in appearance, but in the feeling of satiety. The literal translation of "Shivit oshi" is "pilaf made of greens"!
