TASHKENT

Arrival in Tashkent at AM. & meet with local guide.We begin our visits to Tashkent, the most important city in Asia. Visit:

  • Khast Imam Complex, where you can find the Barak Khan Madrasa and the Tila Sheikh Mosque (also known as the Khast Imam Mosque), which houses the 7th-century Quran of Osman, considered the oldest in the world. Also, the new building being constructed by the Islamic Civilization Center.
  • Chorsu Bazaar - one of the largest and oldest in Central Asia.
  • The Applied Art Museum - contains over 7,000 embroidery examples
  • Independence Square, one of the largest in Central Asia, a symbol of Uzbekistan's exit from the Soviet Union on August 31, 1991, surrounded by monuments, fountains and impressive public buildings
  • Amir Temur Square, in the modern part of the capital where the equestrian statue of the famous undefeated Turko-Mongolian conqueror (known in the West as Tamerlane) triumphs in the center.

TASHKENT – NUKUS (by plane)- NUKUS - MUYNAK - USTYURT PLATEAU - MAR DE ARAL

05:00 Transfer (on your own) to the airport and take flight HY-11 from 07:15 to 08:55 to Nukus.

09:00 Meeting with the driver in Nukus & transfer to Muynak.

12:00 Arrival in Muynak. A visit to the cemetery of ships, and the museum of the Aral Sea, which presents the works of the artist F. Madgazina and R. Matevosyan captured on their canvases the greatness of the Aral Sea and the beauty of the Amu Darya River.

13:30 Lunch at the cozy Muynak guest house.

14:30 We continue along the dried-up bottom of the Aral Sea, you can capture a unique landscape with a photo camera. The steep ascent to the Ustyurt Plateau will be the beginning of a new extreme tour. Stop at the magnificent canyons of Ustyurt for a photo shoot.

18:00 We arrive at the seashore and walk along the coastline, plunging into the atmosphere of this place.

19:00 Dinner at the yurt camp. A conversation in a friendly company. A night in cozy yurts immerses anyone in mysticism.

ARAL SEA - KURGANCHA-KALA - NOMADS' CEMETERY - AKTUMSEK CANYONS - CAMP BY THE ARAL SEA

06:00 Early ascent will give you the opportunity to watch the amazing sunrise over the endless sea and gives the start of our excursion.

07:30-8:30 After breakfast, the tour starts from the Kurgancha Fortress. We mentally go back in time feeling the history of the Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road.

9:30 Stop at the cemetery of nomads. A guided tour of the descent from the Ustyurt Plateau down the trail, where you will plunge into the beauty created by nature surrounded by canyons resembling a sculpture park.

13:00 Lunch at Besqala Yurt Camp.

14:00 The tour continues to Cape Aktumsyk (15 km), walking through the picturesque places of Ustyurt: high canyons, Martian landscape, mysterious cave, and picturesque slabs, each of which is like pages of history. Then you can walk along the beach, swim in the sea, Return to the Bes ala yurt camp.

19:00 Dinner in a traditional style. After dinner, you can watch the stars through an open-air telescope, feeling the spirit of authenticity and romance of this place

ARAL SEA – KUBLA-USTYURT VILLAGE – BARSAKELMES SALT LAKE – SUOCHI LAKE – KUNGRAD – KHODJELI – KHIVA

06:00 Early rising to meet the dawn, which painted the sea in delicate shades.

08:00 After breakfast, our way goes to the village of Komsomolsk Kubla Ustyurt.

09:30 Against the background of the village landscape, you can capture camels, horses on a photo camera, walk along the abandoned runway and try camel milk from the locals and immerse yourself in the authenticity of this place.

11:00 Arrival at Sudochie Lake, a former part of the Aral Sea, where numerous migratory birds nest, including pink flamingos. This place is a real paradise for fans of wildlife watching.

12:30 p.m. The journey will continue to the Barsakelmes salt marsh, a huge salt lake (analogous to Salar de Uyuni – salt marsh in Bolivia), left over from the ancient Tethys Ocean. Here you will have the opportunity to create unique photos, immersing yourself in incredible views of nature.

14:30 Lunch at the Naiman roadside café.

16:30 On the way you will pass through the Kungrad and Khojaly districts, which played an important role during the Great Silk Road. Tour of the Mizdakhkan necropolis in the Khojaly district. The ruins of the necropolis will allow you to experience the history of the mausoleum of Mazlumkhan Sulu (XII-XIV centuries), Jumart kassab hill, Shamun Nabi (XII century), Khalifa Yerezhep and Gaur Kala (VI century BC – IX century AD).

17:30 We will conclude our extreme tour with travel to the city of Khiva (195 km, 3.5 hours). Check-in at the hotel upon arrival in Khiva.

KHIVA

After breakfast, the day is entirely dedicated to visiting Khiva. The old part of the city is called Ichan Kala (which was included by UNESCO in the list of places considered "World Heritage" in 1991 https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/543/ ) and is surrounded by a long and mighty mud wall, 2.5 km long, on which there are four gates. The most important is the western one, called Ata Darvoza. Visit:

BUKHARA

Today is the day dedicated to visiting Bukhara. “If Samarkand is the wonder of the earth, Bukhara is the wonder of the spirit”. Bukhara has been one of the most important trading centers on the Great Silk Road for many centuries, that is why there are most of the caravanserais and covered bazaars that attract tourists to this day. Visit:

BUKHARA-SAMARKAND (by train)

After breakfast, visit:

  • The Fayzulla Khodjaev House Museum, dedicated to the memory of one of the most prominent political figures in Bukhara's history, located in Bukhara.
  • Bukhara Gold Embroidery Factory, where products include carpets, curtains, headdresses, caskets, bags, purses and shoes.
  • Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa - The summer palace of the Emir of Bukhara. Built in 1911 for the last Emir, Alim Khan.

After visits transfer to the train station & take the train Afrosiyob to Samarkand

SAMARKAND

Samarkand is one of the oldest cities in the world, contemporary with Athens, Rome and Babylon. Samarkand is more than 2500 years old. In the east Samarkand is called “precious pearl”, “aspect of the earth”. After breakfast visit:

  • The Guri-Emir mausoleum and the burial tomb of the Timurids dynasty resemble from afar a blue tulip with closed turquoise petals.
  • Registan Square is the heart of Samarkand. Registan (“sand square”) called the pearl of Central Asia is one of the most beautiful squares in the world and the symbol of the city. Inside the square are the Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillakori Madrassahs.
  • Bibikhanum Mosque - which was built in 1399-1400, dedicated to the beautiful wife of Tamerlane.
  • Shakhi-Zinda - the memorial complex
  • Siyab Bazaar - is the most famous and most important bazaar in Samarkand

SAMARKAND-TASHKENT

  • Konigil village and the Meros silk paper factory, restored by the renowned Mukhtarov brothers.
  • Ulugbek observatory - is a largest observatory in Central Asia which was built in 1420 by Ulugbeg (the grandson of Tamerlane)
  • The Khoja Doniyor Mausoleum.

 

After visits transfer to the train station & take the train to Tashkent. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel & accommodation.

TASHKENT-KOKAND (by train)

After the breakfast transfer to the train station & take the train (at 07:55-12:16) to Kokand. Upon arrival have a lunch & transfer to the hotel.

After lunch visit:

  • Khudoyar-Khan Palace - The majestic and unique building commemorates the last ruler of the Kokand Khanate, Khudoyar.
  • Jami Mosque - The most impressive mosque in Kokand, built by Umar Khan in 1812, is centered on a 22-meter minaret and includes a colorful 100-meter long aivan (porch) supported by 98 red wooden columns brought from India and decorated in different colors and carvings of traditional Ferghana architecture.

KOKAND-RISHTAN-MARGILAN-TASHKENT (by train)

After breakfast drive to Rishtan.

  • Visit the home of the famous ceramist Rustam Usmanov, known for his mastery and work. Watch a demonstration of the pottery-making process, painting, and firing.
  • The Yodgorlik factory, renowned worldwide for its exquisite silk production, earning it the nickname "Silk Capital of Central Asia" over the centuries. Admire the complete silk fabric production process, from preparing the cocoons to obtaining the finished material. The techniques and methods for processing raw materials and producing finished fabrics have been passed down through generations for approximately 2,000 years.

After visits transfer to the train station in Margilan & take the train (16:43-21:45) to Tashkent. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel & accommodation.
