28.01. Tashkent
Meeting at the international airport in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent.

29.01. Tashkent - Samarkand
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, check out of the rooms and gather in the hotel lobby at 09:00.
Meet the guide and start our daytime walk around the "Old City" right from the hotel doorstep:
We will start our acquaintance with the city from Khast Imam Square - the spiritual center of Tashkent, where the original unique manuscript of the Koran of Usman and the hair of the Prophet Muhammad are kept. We will be able to see with our own eyes the Barak Khan madrasah, the Kafal ash-Shashi mausoleum.


We will visit the oldest bazaar in Tashkent, which is more than 2000 years old - Chorsu Bazaar. The name of the market is translated from Persian as "four roads" or "four streams", since in ancient times it was in this place that all the trade routes of the East were connected. And in modern times, the Chorsu Bazaar stands at the center of the intersection of the four main shopping streets of Tashkent.
After the market, we will visit the boutique workshop of the Uzbek master embroiderer Madina Kasymbaeva.
Besh Qozon Plov Center. An amazing place where you can not only taste national plov, but also see huge cauldrons in which up to 10 tons of plov are cooked per day, we will taste several types of plov and move on.
After lunch, we will visit the new part of Tashkent - Independence Square or Mustaqillik Maydoni. The central square of the capital of Uzbekistan, like Red Square in Moscow. We will walk through the Ezgullik Arch, see the Independence Monument, the Monument to the Grieving Mother and walk along the Alley of Memory.


We will admire the extraordinary Palace of Konstantin Romanov, the appearance and style of which is unusual for eastern architecture, attractive in its grandeur, grace, solitude, mystery and inaccessibility. A kind of ancient "noble nest". (review from the outside)
We will see the Alisher Navoi Theater Square (Bolshoi Theater), Amir Timur Square and Tashkent "Broadway".

Acquaintance with Samarkand begins at Registan Square - ("sand square"), called the pearl of Central Asia, is one of the most beautiful squares in the world and a symbol of the city. The center of Samarkand since the time of Tamerlane, inside the square are the Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillakori madrassas.
Next to Registan Square there is an amazing place that looks like a grandmother's treasure chest - Lena Ladik's art gallery "happy bird". Hospitable hosts will share interesting stories. Antique carpets, chests, scarves, fabrics, skullcaps, jewelry, paintings and of course clothes. Trying on chapans and hand-embroidered dresses, we will get into character and feel like shahzods of Bukhara, Khiva, Kokand and other cities of the Silk Road.


We continue our walk through the interesting places of delightful Samarkand. And we go to see one of the main attractions of the city - the Gur-Emir mausoleum, it is known as the tomb of Tamerlane.
We will learn the legend about Tamerlane's wife, the beautiful Bibi-khanum, who, upon her husband's return, built him a mosque as a gift, which the world had never seen - the Bibikhanum Mosque - built in 1399-1400.

We will not leave aside and will definitely visit the Siyab Bazaar - the most famous and most important bazaar in Samarkand. There you can see the local flavor, buy souvenirs and bargain with local sellers.
Then we will go to Khujum - this is a famous carpet factory, where you can see girls at the machines. The most unique carpet in Khujum was woven with a magnifying glass.

After lunch, we will visit the Bagizagan Winery. The peculiarity of this winery is that it produces organic wine. You will learn the history of the winery, get acquainted with the process of processing grapes and wine production technologies. During the visit, you can try 6 types of wine, 2 types of cognac and chacha (a strong Georgian alcoholic drink), as well as cheeses, seasonal fruits, nuts and cookies. The tasting is included in the tour price.
In the evening, if desired, you can return to Registan to admire the colors of the East in the light of the lights.

31.01. Samarkand-Konigil-Bukhara
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, check out of the rooms and meet in the hotel lobby at 09:00.
After breakfast, we will go to Konigil, visit a paper workshop in a village near Samarkand.
The highlight of the village is a workshop for the manual production of traditional silk Samarkand paper using a revived ancient (early medieval) technology.


Here you can see and participate in the entire technological process from cleaning the mulberry bark, soaking and crushing it to obtaining finished sheets of paper, as well as making original products and souvenirs from them.
We will go to a master class in the pottery workshop of Ilkhom Bobomurodov. You will be taught how to work with clay. Clay is not chemical plasticine, real clay, alive. It gives joy and continues a beautiful traditional craft.


Konigil is located on the outskirts of Samarkand, not far from the Ulugbek observatory, so after visiting the paper workshop we will go to the largest observatory in Central Asia, built in 1420 by Ulugbek (grandson of Tamerlane).

After the excursion, transfer to Bukhara. Accommodation at the Reikartz Bahor Bukhara hotel.

01.02. Bukhara - Tashkent.
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, check out of the rooms and meet in the hotel lobby at 09:00.
After breakfast, we will go to get acquainted with the Miracle of the Spirit - Bukhara. "If Samarkand is a miracle of the earth, then Bukhara is a miracle of the spirit"
The historical center of Bukhara is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
We will see:
According to tradition, we will begin our acquaintance with the most famous and visited square of Bukhara - the Lyabi-Khauz ensemble.
In the center of the ensemble there is an artificial pond, around which are the Kukeldash madrasah, the Nadir Divanbegi madrasah, the khanaka, the famous monument to Khoja Nasreddin and many cozy cafes.

We will visit the famous art school of Davlat Toshev, where you will take a
master class in miniature drawing, cooking Bukhara pilaf and other dishes.
After lunch, we will see the Reikartz Modarixon Bukhara hotel.
Then we will walk along the old streets and go to the puppet workshop. There we will see a mini-performance, the dolls "come to life" in the hands of the masters and become part of history.


We will continue the excursion and see: Chashmai Ayub Mausoleum, Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Samanid Mausoleum, Kosh Madrasa (Abdullakhon and Modarihon), Bolo Khavuz, Poi Kalon, Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek Madrasah, Abdulakhzizkhon Madrasah, Chor-Minor Madrasah, Magoki Attori.
Bukhara is known to the world not only for its mosques, the Ark fortress and the majestic Kalyan minaret, but also for its trading domes, which stretch in a string from Lyabi-Khauz to the Miri-Arab Madrasah.


You will learn all about the four domes: Toki-Sarrophon, Telpak Furushon, Tim Abdullakhan, Toki-Zargaron, Lyabi Khavuz.

If time permits and you want to, visit Yangiabad - the main flea market of the former USSR. All the flea markets you have visited before do not compare to Yangiabad. They do not even come close to the truly gigantic flea market in Tashkent. This market is unsightly and not glamorous, but full of treasures from antique carpets to Wedgwood sets.
